I took Ruby on October 30th for her 15 month check. As many of you know from this post,
Not gaining enough weight, I was concerned about Ruby's weight and made some changes to her diet and put her on Nutrivene-D.Well, at her 15 month check-up she weighed 16.8 lbs,her length is 28.5 in. and her head is 18 in.I'm very happy with Ruby's weight gain and can tell she is growing and getting heavier.
Ruby's pediatrician said she is very happy with Ruby's progress and thinks she is doing wonderfully.I was a little disheartened when I read the handout sheet about," What your 15 month old should be doing," but I got over it quickly because I know that Ruby is doing excellent for Ruby.
Here are some pictures of my precious baby enjoying her bath time.

Darling little bath pictures! It's very easy to get discouraged. Justin is a tiny guy too. 18 months and only 18 lbs. I'm not a big fan of those "what your child should be doing" pages. I know they mean well... but Justin will do it ALL when he's ready!
I think Ruby looks perfect -- absolutely perfect.
When I was first pregnant with Gabe, but didn't know that he had Down syndrome yet, I signed up for an email newsletter from Baby Center.com. Anyway, for a long time, I received those "what your baby should be doing now" updates -- and I wouldn't even read them. I'd just delete them.
Finally, after accepting Gabe for who he is, I unsubscribed from those darn things! Every child is different. Anyway, you're right. Ruby is doing what is right for Ruby.
We could all think of ourselves that way too. ;)
Way to grow Ruby!!! How cute is your makeshift bathtub and so perfect that she gets to look at herself in the mirror. Also on the Wordless Wednesday, I can't get over how long her hair has gotten since we visited you guys.
Her smile - it's awesome! And I love that you got over the fact sheet so quickly - good for you! Ruby is indeed excelling at being Ruby. That's what matters.
So cute and what a great idea for a tub! Sometimes I don't feel like bending over the tub and Mattie is outgrowing the sink. Way to put on the pounds Ruby! Wish I could get so excited for saying that to myself! HeeHee.
I am so glad that she is gaining weight. That is great to hear. I love the bathroom pics. I can't wait till Wysdom can do the big sink thing or I might just use your idea.
Glad to hear she is gaining!! She's so darn cute!!
What a great idea for a bath tub. Just the right size for her!
Such darling photos! I love her little tummy :-) Glad to hear she's growing. I know how it feels w/ those forms you check off. At JM's 18 mo. check, I stared at it blankly and asked if I could fill out the 12 mo. sheet instead. He was very nice about it... just didn't think about it.
SHE LOOKS GREAT and is going to be the size she is meant to be, despite what you do. My little one with Ds was born exactly 1 year before Ruby! and she is just great. She is tiny, too (about 24 lbs and 30-31"), but I love it.
what a doll she is
congrats on the weight gain
We had the exact same bathub ( it was half of a Rubbermaid storage box)
What adorable pictures!!! AND what a great idea for a tub!!!
JEB had a time gaining weight as well....seems like it took him forever to get to 10 pounds! BUT I didn't really worry because he was healthy and doing well. Even now at 9, he's small but it's ok!
Ruby looks so cute taking her bath! I'm so glad you don't pay attention to those annoying handouts from the doctor's office about what a 15 month old should be doing. I have learned not to follow that either. She looks really good! Your blog looks so cute! Love the fall theme!
Thank You so very much for your thoughts and prayers. I feel so blessed to have so many praying for Kristen.
so glad she is gaining weight and do well! i can not get over how big she is getting. she is doing awesome!!! so cute.
Way to go Miss Ruby!!I love each and every one of these pictures. And as for her tub ... why didn't I didn't think of this instead of scouring the county for a large clear tub!
Ruby is finding her way beautifully and is absolutely perfect.
I'm with Heather... what a great idea for a tub. Emmie is way to big for her baby tub but I didn't really want to put her in the big tub yet.
So glad Ruby is gaining... but we knew she would!
That is an awesome place for a bath!!! Perfect! By the way, I just LOVE the new header photo!!
So great to hear that she's gained some weight! Looks like she was enjoying her bath :)
I had read your previous post where you were worried about Ruby not gaining weight.Nice to know that she has begun to gain weight.
Wow, look at her enjoying her bath. My son loves his bath time too.
That's so exciting that she is gaining weight! I love the bathtub, it looks like a real back saver!
Glad to hear that the weight is slowly piling on...slow and steady as I always say. Love the bath pictures, Ruby is having a great time as is obvious. I think the kids all love their bath times, I can't get Saira out of her bath once she's in.
oh my, she is too cute and sweet!
