Going to sleep

I'm so excited because Ruby has been going to sleep on her own for her naps during the day.All I have to do is put her in her crib and she plays with her toys for awhile and then she goes off to sleep without fussing at all. It's such a relief because I was having to hold her and rock her to get her to take a nap and then if I tried to lay her down she would wake right up.So,there I was having to sit and hold her all the time and I can tell you it has been hard on my back. Yay,Ruby!

I am jealous. Sam still has to be held to go to sleep and has to sleep in his swing during the day. He won't sleep in his bed for more then 20 minutes during the day. Does she take 2 naps a day? For how long? Any advice would help. :-)

Yeaa Ruby!!! Maybe she can have a little talk with Adam. 10 years old and I or Daddy have to lie down with him to get him to fall a sleep.... (ugg, Super nanny would be so disappointed in us)

Tausha,Ruby took 3 naps yesterday and she slept for about an hour each time.I'm sorry I have no suggestions, she is doing it on her own.I just hope it continues:)

Tucker does that at other peoples houses or daycare but not at home. We have to lay in the bed with him, he has kinda come out of the rocking stage....which is sad to me but I did get to do it until he was 3 yo so I got a lot more rocking time than most parents do. She is growing so.....dont blink, as you know, she will be grown before you know it.

That's great. I remember, clearly, how freeing it was when my boys did that for the first time!

Happy for you and Ruby! Noah has to have me or Daddy with him to fall to sleep.
