Time to Say Goodbye.

Today was our last day in South Carolina.
We all got up early, packed our things, took them out to the van and then got ready for church.
Church service started at 11, and we got out around 12. We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Thankfully the wait wasn't an hour and a half. We got in right away.[:
After we ate, Grady had to be back at the college for a work meeting. So the rest of us changed out of our church clothes, and went to Wal-Mart to get some things for him. We went back and set them on his bed, so he'd be surprised.
By the time we'd done that, he was out of his meeting and we were somewhat ready to say our goodbyes.
We picked him up from the dinning common, and drove him to his dorm area.
Dad just broke down, and Mom's eyes started tearing up, and that made Grady start crying, and all them crying made me cry. And Aaron just looked at us, and Ruby just laughed.

Apologies for the bad quality of this picture.

Driving away.

It's kind of weird. Him not being here.. And it's going to be even weirder at home.
I know we'll all be glad to see him on Christmas, and for summer break.[:

We're in Alabama now, and all exhausted. I'm not really looking forward to the ride home tomorrow.
It won't be the same without Grady to joke around with.
I need to stop talking about it, my eyes are starting to tear up.

Well, I need to get some sleep. We have to shove off before 7 AM. So, yeah.
I hope everyone else had a good day, and thank you so much for your prayers to us for a safe journey home.[:

Another Day in South Carolina.

Hi there.[:
Today was Saturday the 28th. Just to make that clear before the time changes. :P

We all slept in until around 11 or 12. It felt so good to sleep in. Hahah.
Mom and Dad had to go to a meeting with Grady from 2-5. They left Aaron, Ruby and me at the hotel. Dad had ordered pizza for us, and gave us the money to pay the delivery guy.
It was funny when he got here, because Aaron opened the door and took the pizza, and Ruby crawled over there and I went a paid him. After we shut the door, I just looked at Aaron and laughed and said, "I just realized what that looked like to him..". It was pretty funny. Cause Aaron was thinking the same thing.[x

We basically just sat around, watching Napoleon Dynamite and Spongebob. Ruby thankfully was asleep the whole time. At around 6 they came back and picked us up so we could get out of the room for awhile. They had another meeting to go to at 6:30. Aaron and I just walked around the campus book store, and sat on the bench outside of it. There isn't much to do there for non-students. hah.

Mom and Ruby.

When we got back we met up with some old friends of my parents down in the hotel lobby.
They talked for about an hour or so, before they had to leave.
We came back up to our room and rested for a few minutes, before Dad took Grady back to his dorm room to get a suit to wear for church tomorrow. They also picked up some more pizza, and a salad for Mom.
We wanted to go swimming, but by the time they got back it was 11 and the pool was already closed. =[
But oh well, maybe another time. I can't swim anyways.. hahaah.[:

Well, this post was pretty boring. I didn't take many pictures, and didn't really do much. So.. yeah.
Tomorrow we're going to church, and then out for lunch, and then, going HOME. D:
To be quite honest, I like not being at home. :P Even if it is tiring and the pillows at the hotel rooms make me sick. hahaah. I like being busy.[:

Well, Dad's telling me to get ready to go to bed, cause we have to get up early to pack. I guess this is my last time to write on here.
I hope this wasn't too terribly boring.[;

Finally in South Carolina.

Hi there! It's Meagan again.[: Back for day #2.

This morning we left the hotel in Atlanta at around 8:30, and we got to our hotel here in South Carolina by 11:30.

South Carolina!!

Grady climbing up the pole. Hahaah.

Mom, Ruby, Grady, Me, and Aaron.

Mom and Dad.

We got settled in, washed up, and then we left for the Bob Jones University campus. We met up with a guy named Tyler, and he took Mom, Aaron and me on a tour while Dad and Grady went to go sign in. It's a pretty good sized campus, and I liked the statues in some of the rooms. hah.
After the tour we drove the van around to where Grady's dorm room is, and unpacked all of his stuff. Since he was the first of the three people living in his room to arrive, he got to pick his bed and everything.
It's a pretty decent room.

Dad and Grady, trying to decide which bed to pick.

The desk and some shelves and cabinets at the foot of his bed.

There are three other beds on the other side of the room, but I didn't take pictures of them..
Mom helped him make up his bed and everything.

All done.[:

As the boys and Dad were going back and forth in between the van and the dorm room, bringing in all of his clothes, Mom almost started crying. And we were talking about how I didn't really think much of it, until he started moving everything in. Then I was just like "Man... He's really leaving. I'm not going to see him for quite awhile after this Monday." so yeah, I am going to miss him. Even if I don't act like I will most the time. ;P

After we got all of that done, we went and picked up my cousin(well, my Dad's cousin. So my...2nd cousin I guess. :P)and we hung out for awhile.
Dillon.[:

First we went back to our hotel room so Mom could make Ruby some more bottles, and so we could change out our nicer clothes. Well, really it was just Aaron and I that couldn't stand wearing them any longer. Haha.[:

When we were on our way to the hotel this morning, Dad saw a sign that mention both Bob Jones, and Furman on it(Furman is where Dillon is going to college), so next he wanted to get his and Grady's picture with the sign.

First they tried to climb up it..

Then they behaved and stood still for the picture.[:

After we stopped there, we went to Texas Roadhouse to have dinner. But turns out it was packed, and our wait would be an hour and a half. D:
So we decided to eat somewhere else...
Aaron had been craving and talking about KFC literally all day, so we ended up going there.
By the time that was all over, I'd say we'd spent at least two hours with Dillon. He needed to get back because he had other plans, so we went and dropped him off at around 8 PM I think.

On the Furman campus with Dillon. I felt so short! D:

Since Dillon goes to college about eight minutes away from Grady, they'll get to hang out a lot.[:
Me jealous? ...Maybe. -_-
Heheh.[:

When we got back to the hotel room everyone pretty much just collapsed. It may not sound like we did very much, but it was still very exhausting. Plus I wasn't feeling very well anyways..
We've pretty much just been chillin here since then. Dad went and got some food from Outback. Which is unfortunate to have found out there was one about five or less minutes from the hotel, because we could have just gone there with Dillon. But whatever. hah.
Anyways, right now everyone but Grady and I are asleep. Grady's up because Uncle Johnny, Dillon's dad, gave Grady Dillon's old laptop. So of course he's messing around on that.[:

I just looked at the clock and realized, it's almost tomorrow and not today in Texas. Which is where the clock on the computer is set to. hah. Just need to post this soon, otherwise when I say this morning, it'll really technically mean tomorrow morning.
Let's just put it like this: Today was Friday the 27th.
There we go. :P

Well, I need some shut eye. Of course I'll write more tomorrow night.
I hope everyone had a good day.[:

Getting Rid of My Brother in South Carolina.

Hi there Blogger people.
This is Meagan, posting on Mom's blog about our road trip from Texas to South Carolina, to leave Grady there for college. :P

Well, it started with everything being packed in the van by 7:15 this morning. I guess you could say things were going pretty smoothly.. Until the van wouldn't start. D:
But thankfully we got it up and running within five minutes. Apparently there was something wrong with the battery, and Dad just had to hook it to his car.
Anyways.. Enough of the boring stuff.
The ride into Louisiana was good, Ruby didn't cry or anything the whole ride there. And neither did Aaron, my sixteen year old brother, so that was a relief. ;P
Ruby, Grady, Aaron and I underneath the Louisiana sign.

On the ride through Louisiana, the boys and I watched "Reign of Fire" to pass the time. So there really isn't much to say about that ride. Except about Ruby..
After we watched our movie, Ruby was a bit tired of sitting in her seat, so I got her out and buckled her in next to me. She was holding her Sesame Street "Shake a Leg" book, and she threw it at me so I figured that meant she wanted me to read it to her. Then we watched a bit of "Finding Nemo".

But it turns out letting her watch that wasn't too good of an idea. I now know, that makes her car sick. I found out the hard way. -_-
Just as we were driving into Mississippi, she threw up all over me. I was wearing my favorite Owl City shirt, too! :[ So obviously I had to change my shirt. It's all good, though. Hah.
So out in Mississippi we were.

Mom, Ruby, Aaron, Grady and me underneath the Mississippi sign.

Mom standing next to one of the cannons.

Dad being silly.

Dad and Grady trying to stuff Aaron into the cannon. Hah.[:
Me sitting on the cannon.
Us kids.
Aaron and Grady letting everyone know they are men.

So yeah, Mississippi was a fun state to go through. And the scenery wasn't too bad.

Next stop, Alabama.

The sun was so bright!

Ruby got to join us.
Aaron's C3PO stance.

Aaron's pretend phone conversation pose.

Speed limit 15, Aaron. Slow down!

 Aaron's injured look.

Grady, Aaron and me.

Dad and the bros trying to figure out the "directions on the pole". *Scoff* ...Men.

Me in the shades Dad bought me, and with the Batman shurikan necklace Grady bought me.[:

Yeah, Alabama was probably my favorite state to have gone through. Just cause it was so much fun with Aaron's craziness and all. Plus Grady surprising me by buying the Batman thing was amazing! Batman is my biggest obsession. :P And the shades are cool too.[:
But anyways, while we were at the welcoming area for Alabama, the boys and I did a "pine cone punting" video. I won't be posting it on here, but it was fun making it.[:
And obviously Aaron is the funniest one out of all of us.
The trees were so tall! I'd never stood next to such tall trees. Hahaah. It felt good out there, too. Especially getting to stretch out legs out a bit.

When we came into Georgia it was too dark to take a picture underneath the sign. :[
Plus I was asleep. hehe.
Man.. I tell you.. When we finally got to the hotel, it was amazing. This room is pretty nice. A huge TV, a nice couch for me to crash on, a computer desk, a good little kitchen area, and I'm really enjoying the peep hole. :P
This is a picture I just took of us this very minute...

So yeah, we're pretty comfortable, and Mom and Dad are already asleep. So this should be a good night.[:

Tomorrow morning we're heading for South Carolina, where Mom, Aaron, Ruby and I are going to chill at another hotel while Dad takes Grady to get signed in at Bob Jones.
It should be a fun day.[:
But when we leave on Monday, I know we're all going to miss Grady. Especially Aaron and me, because we do everything together.

Well, I think it's time to get a little shut eye.
I hope this didn't bore any of you to sleep! D:
Thanks for reading.
