Treadmill Therapy-Walking Wings

I'm not sure I like using the Walking Wings because as you can see in the video they come up on her chest and under her chin when I pick Ruby up in them.I think I have more control of Ruby when I just hold her with my hands.Somebody ,I can't remember who right now, said they use gardening gloves to hold on to the baby, maybe I will try some of those.

You can see Ruby likes to jump alot!I get so tickled at her :)

Mattie likes to jump like that too when we work on moving those feet. Isn't that funny?

That's really interesting. They didn't recommend anything like that when Gess was younger. I can see why you aren't real fond of the wings. Let us know what finally works!

We used some other thing for Noah, I cant remember the name of it but we ordered it on line. It looked like a hosier bag that they slipped into, like a body suit with handles on top to hold them with. It worked good. After Noah learned to walk we gave it to the therapist to pass on to other families.

It looks like Ruby likes it no matter which way she gets to play treadmill!

I think the wings would be a little more secure if it was more like a onesie.

Ruby looks like she's having a good time! We thought about ordering the wings but never got ar around to it. Just wondering, has Ruby watched any of her siblings walk on the treadmill? That is always the best way for us to help Goldie learn something new.

It looks as though the walking wings are a little big on Ruby. I bought them for my son, he's 17 months old, but a big boy. About 2 or 3 weeks ago, he weighed in at 25 lbs. When I put the walking wings on him, it doesn't slide up, or seem as though he'll slide right out.

I'm curious, did your therapist recommend the treadmill and why? Landon doesn't see a PT, but he was evaluated recently by a PT for orthotics. I asked about treadmill therapy and what she described seemed different than what you have here. The treadmill seems like a great idea to me, however I got the impression she wasn't a proponent. I know therapists vary on their opinions of "tools" so I'm interested to know your therapist's. I remember getting differing opinions about the Bumbo seat. My infant educator wasn't fond, but other parents I spoke to said their therapist loved it.

Ruby is a little doll!

Never seen something like this before. I hope it works for you and Ruby. I'm still breaking my back by holding onto John Michael. BTW, love LOVE your new blog look and colors. Very pretty. Totally something I would choose if JM were a girl. :-)

Too cute! I think Addy would hate the Walking Wings, she is fighting being vertical! Ruby is a doll!

What a happy child she is. You are a wonderful Mother. I can just see Ruby and Grandpa looking down with smiles of proud upon their faces. Aunt Ruby was a fighter and her spirit lives on in Ruby.
