You would think after having 11 kids I would know to put sunblock and a hat on my baby even on a cool and windy day, but alas no,this happened while we enjoyed my 14 yr. old daughter's soccer game on Saturday afternoon.Ruby never complained ,she was her sweet happy self even with a sunburned face.Because this happened she couldn't wear her beautiful Easter bonnet I bought for her:(

I hope it doesn't bother her too much. I was looking at sunblock at the store today, and thought "nah, its too early for that". Maybe not.
Ruby is so beautiful! Hope she doesnt hurt at all from the burn. I feel bad when I forget to rub Noah with sun block. living in TX, I have to put it on him all summer long.
ouch! i did that to Sean once, too. boy did i feel terrible. hope it fades quickly for her.
Oh ouchy.
Oh, poor babe! Glad she's handling it well :)
Oh poor Ruby!!! I have done that before also!! And then I totally beat myself up about it!!! We are human~
Poor girl :(
It doesn't take long to get that pretty snow white skin burnt...hope it goes in fast.
Happy Easter late, I hope your family had a blessed day in HIM!
Poor baby! I am glad she doesn't seem bothered by it!! You can take a late picture of her in her bonnet, no one will be the wiser! :)
Awwww poor sweetie! It has happened to my kids too at times. I know it seems to me that early in the year, before summer, we dont' really think the sun is ready to wreak it's havoc yet. I hope she feels better.
My older daughter and I are darker skinned than Kayla and don't burn easily so I'm always forgetting to put sunblock on her. We're a long way from sunblock season here, though!
My first thought was she looks soo pink.....I was looking at the pictures from Wordless wednesday...then I realized the post before taht was about sunburn. Bless her heart. She is stil darn cute, pink or otherwise. Dont beat yourself up too much, we all have moments of memory loss. And on a "not so hot and sun shiny day" we all tend to think nothing about sunburns.
