Toddler Beds

In my previous post I talked about looking at some kids beds and that got me to thinking about what kind of bed Ruby will need when she graduates out of her baby bed.I thought this
toddler bed was unique,it will sit up into a chair.

For you ladies that have a child with Down syndrome that have already moved out of their crib what type of bed do you have for your child?Toddler or regular twin and what do you feel is safest?Do you have some type of rail to keep them from falling out?

I think it might be awhile before Ruby moves to a bed other than her crib simply because she is so small, about the size of a one year old.If your child is still in a baby bed what do you plan on putting them in when they need to graduate from crib to big kid bed?

I'd love to hear more about this too because we are wondering the same thing!

I'm going to have to check back for answers here! I have been wondering the same thing the past little while. We are going to be moving most likely before the end of the year and I would like to change his bed when we do this. I think we are more leaning toward using a twin, with bed rails if needed. But to start we will probably just use the new twin size mattress on the floor for a bit!

we got Noah a toddler bed when he was around 2. He never once slept in it. Has has since slept with us but has a double bed in his room. One day he will use it. LOL

We've been thinking about that too. I think Mattie will stay in the crib for awhile. She still has plenty of room and she's content. I will probably go to a toddler bed when the time is right.

I love that little chair bed! How creative. Marissa is going to stay in the bed she has for a while now. We have a 3-in-1 crib so it should last us sometime. She's still pretty small too and isn't even crawling yet so a big kid bed isn't in the cards just yet. Happy hunting though.

My Sam is 3 1/2 and we have tried getting him out of the crib several times but he LOVES the security of it. So, back he goes.. on his own, up the side :)
I did try a twin mattress but I think it was just too big for him...
