World Down Syndrome Day takes place on 21 March every year. This date (21/3) represents the 3 copies of chromosome 21, which is unique to people with Down syndrome.

Today is also my son's 6th birthday.
Life with my 11 wonderful children.My youngest daughter Ruby is blessed with Down Syndrome.
This testing makes me sad. I'm afraid there will be a lot less beautiful people with Down syndrome in the world.What a truly sad place it will be.

A group of scientists from Cyprus has combined methylated DNA immunoprecipitation and quantitative real-time PCR into a non-invasive, prenatal test that can diagnose Down syndrome with 100 percent sensitivity and specificity, according to a paper published online this week in Nature Medicine.
