Mother's fury after operation turns sour | HEALTH News

This little boy had some serious complications after having his tonsils removed.
I thought a tonsillectomy was a pretty normal operation for a child with Down syndrome to have.Do you have a child with Down syndrome that has had this operation? How did he or she do after the operation?

Thankfully, my son has no issues with tonsils or adenoids. He did, however, have open heart surgery at age 3 months, after which he suffered some complications. I remeber feeling utterly & completely helpless during my son's hospitalization. As a fellow parent, I can only imagine how this poor little guy's family feels. How awful! Praying tha the improves soon!

Sam got his out about a month ago now and did great. He did have some milk come out of his nose but that was only once. The doctor did mention the soft palate taking time to work properly but we haven't had any problems. How scarey, glad we got his tonsils and adnoids out before reading this article or I would of been a mess.
