Time to Say Goodbye.

Today was our last day in South Carolina.
We all got up early, packed our things, took them out to the van and then got ready for church.
Church service started at 11, and we got out around 12. We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Thankfully the wait wasn't an hour and a half. We got in right away.[:
After we ate, Grady had to be back at the college for a work meeting. So the rest of us changed out of our church clothes, and went to Wal-Mart to get some things for him. We went back and set them on his bed, so he'd be surprised.
By the time we'd done that, he was out of his meeting and we were somewhat ready to say our goodbyes.
We picked him up from the dinning common, and drove him to his dorm area.
Dad just broke down, and Mom's eyes started tearing up, and that made Grady start crying, and all them crying made me cry. And Aaron just looked at us, and Ruby just laughed.

Apologies for the bad quality of this picture.

Driving away.

It's kind of weird. Him not being here.. And it's going to be even weirder at home.
I know we'll all be glad to see him on Christmas, and for summer break.[:

We're in Alabama now, and all exhausted. I'm not really looking forward to the ride home tomorrow.
It won't be the same without Grady to joke around with.
I need to stop talking about it, my eyes are starting to tear up.

Well, I need to get some sleep. We have to shove off before 7 AM. So, yeah.
I hope everyone else had a good day, and thank you so much for your prayers to us for a safe journey home.[:

Goodbyes are always so hard. At least he'll be home at Christmas and that the traveling is going smoothly.

Thanks for sharing your journey to college life. Praying you all made it back home safe and you adjust well without Grady. I can't imagine how excited you all will be to see each other at Christmas.

How exciting for him, so hard on momma! I want the whole college experience for my boys, something I didn't get!
