First Time I Held Ruby
This is a pic. of the first time I got to hold Ruby. She had already been in the NICU several days. I was trying not to cry, I was so happy to hold her in my arms! She was such a tiny thing!
I think that may be one of the hardest things for parents of children in the NICU - not being able to hold them on a regular basis. I hope that was a good memory for you.
Oh you look so happy and emotional. It's hard, isn't it?! I was fortunate that Gabe was never separated from me. When I read your story or Jennifer's story (Roadmap to Holland), I know how lucky I was when Gabe was born. I just have to tell you that the bow in Ruby's hair is delightful -- already a celebration of who she is, and who she will be!♥

I loved that ribbon! The wonderful NICU nurses put that in her hair every day:)
Beautiful picture, so full of emotion and love.
