Ruby went to sleep!

Last night my husband and I and our 5 oldest kids were playing Apples to Apples,so I put Ruby in her baby bed to watch her mobile.Well, she just cooed and blew raspberries and was quite happy for a long while. Then she started her grumbling sounds, you know not really crying just griping,I decided to just let her be because she wasn't screaming or upset.By the time we finished our game she was sound asleep! The first time she has gone to sleep at night without me holding her! Also the first time she has slept in her crib and not in her cradle by my bed!

You wrote on my blog (about changing DS) "To me that just comes from being a mom.Wanting to make life better for your children."

Aww, she looks so sweet and peaceful :)

Cheryl, you asked on my blog about using a Bumbo. Yes, we've been using one with Finn since he was about 2 1/2 months old, at the suggestion of his physical therapist. She says it's a good way to build neck strength and head control.

That is such a sweet picture. Goldie was much better at falling asleep on her own than my other kids. I should have encouraged it more because she doesn't do it now.

I saw Lisa's comment about the bumbo. Do you need one? I have a purple on here with a box to ship it. Its yours if you want it.

You asked about using the Ergo. Yes, yes yes! We still use it. I decided that the benefits of wearing her outweighed any problems it might cause. She took her first steps at 19 months, so I'd say it didn't cause any problems. Babywearing increases muscle tone and I've heard using a sling is good for hip development. I also have a maya ring sling. Its easier to get her in and out of for quick trips into the store and such.

Adorable! And I wish I would have been more apt to have Gabe sleep on his own. But that's a whole other post! LOL!

I read Lisa's referral to the Bumbo and I strongly suggest using it too. Gabe didn't sit independently for a long time so it was a great item to help him along and strengthen upper body.
